Tristan is a former National Qualifying Series (NQS) figure skater who trained at the Olympic Training Site in Colorado Springs under coach Damon Allen.

During training, he sustained an injury that accelerated a previously undetected neurological condition, resulting in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). The symptoms included persistent migraines, vertigo, and nausea, which caused him to fall when standing or walking, ultimately confining him to a wheelchair. Through intensive rehabilitation at Re+active Physiotherapy in El Segundo, California, he has been relearning how to stand and walk again.

Presently, Tristan is training to become a race car driver at Buttonwillow Raceway under the guidance of Mateo Siderman. He plans to obtain his SCCA accreditation to compete in NASA Time Attack events. Additionally, Tristan is building his own race car alongside fellow enthusiasts at Wanderwall Society, a DIY automotive community.

Prior to his injury, he was also a Level 7 alpine skier and an avid freestyle skier. Tristan also spends time composing his own music.

Born in New York City, Tristan was raised in Hong Kong to learn Chinese. He now resides in Los Angeles.
